  • Baga Gazariin Chuluu:

    It is located at the boundary of Adaatsag and Delgertsogt soums of Dundgovi province, which is a unique collection of landscapes.     The largest sand dune in Mongolia is located in the territory of Sevrei and Bayandalai soums of Umnugovi province. Khongoryn Els are some of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. The sand dunes are very high, up to 10-195 m from the bottom to the top of the bed, and when the wind hits, it sounds like many kinds of music. Also known as the Duut Mankhan (Singing Dunes – from the sound they make when the sand is moved by the wind), they are up to 300m high, 12km wide and about 100km long. The largest dunes are at the northwestern corner of the range. From afar the dunes look painted on the southern horizon in front of those gorgeous granite mountains. At the top of this sand dune, which is much higher than the 9th floor of the apartment, the sounds of the animals and the sounds of the wind are astonishing.     On the eastern edge of the beautiful valley of Ongi River, it is located in the Saikhan-Ovoo mountain range in Saikhan-Ovoo soum, Dundgovi province. The Ongi Monastery is referred to as "Gundjambaalin" in Tibet, it means "Khotol Uglugch". Ishtonlinkhundev, his disciple, Lama Damtsagdorj, was created between 1760 and 1810. The monastery was one of the main Buddhist monasteries of Mongolia and also one of the largest Gobi zones monasteries. It is characterized by the construction of the monastery.     The Mongolian Government declared Hustai National Park as a Specially Protected Area in 1993, one year after the initiation of the reintroduction project of the Takhi[1] (Przewalski's horse) to the Hustain Nuruu. The HNP extends through the Khentii Mountains and includes the western edge of the Mongolian steppe at the boundaries of Altanbulag, Argalant and Bayankhangai Soums of Töv Province. The park is about 100 km from the capital city of Ulaanbaatar to the west.
    The HNP covers 50,600 ha land which is home to 459 species of vascular plants, 85 species of lichens, 90 species of moss and 33 species of mushrooms. 44 species of mammals have been recorded, including Altai wapiti, Mongolian gazelle, roe deer, wild boar, wild sheep, ibex, Mongolian marmots, grey wolves, Eurasian lynx, Pallas cat, red fox, corsac fox and Eurasian badger. The 217 species of birds include golden eagle, lammergeier, great bustard, whooper swan, black stork, Daurian partridge and little owl. There are 16 species of fish, 2 species of amphibians, and 385 species of insects (including 21 species of ants, 55 species of butterflies, 10 species of bush crickets and 29 species of grasshoppers). A new species of soil insect has been found in the Hustai and given the scientific name of Epidamaeus khustaiensis.
    Terelj National Park:
